Final evening Columbia College and the Pulitzer Prize Council introduced the winners and runners-up of the 2023 Pulitzer Prize – and comedian e-book artist and editorial cartoonist Pia Guerra got here out as a finalist within the Illustrated Reporting and Commentary class.

The winner of the Illustrated Reporting and Commentary class went to the Knowledge Visualization Artist Mona Chalabiin line with the Pulitzer Council:
“for putting illustrations that mix statistical stories with in-depth evaluation to assist readers perceive the immense wealth and financial energy of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.”
Chalabi describes herself as a knowledge journalist and her information visualization work has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Instances and The New Yorker.
