One of many first historic novels I learn with a STEM-inclined heroine completely escapes me. I do know I learn it after 2007, and I feel the writer was fairly well-known. It might even have been reviewed by the SBs. I am fairly certain I’ve learn different works by the identical writer, however I do not know who it was. All I bear in mind is that the heroine was a botanist who studied sundews – that are fairly carnivorous vegetation – and maybe lived close to marshes or moors or another whimsical British panorama . IIRC, she was not keen on getting married. I feel the story befell within the nineteenth century. Sadly, all I actually bear in mind are the sundews and a slight optimistic vibe.
